Sony is proud to announce today that two new home theater projectors will now be available in Australia. First is the VPL-VW90ES, which is the company’s first 3D projector. This model features 1000 ANSI lumens, HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 150000:1 contrast ratio. The other projector is the PLV-HW20, which features 1300 ANSI lumens, an 80000:1 contrast ratio, and the same 1080p HD resolution. “The SXRD technology minimizes the space between pixels for crisp and vivid images with unrivalled clarity, producing the film-quality smoothness and cinema-quality digital projection demanded by home cinema buffs,” Sony said. Both projectors have already been released in the US and other parts of the world.
